On 13th July CHUG will have been meeting for one year, so Happy Birthday to us and a big thank you to all of you for making it a success.
We have a potential gig on Saturday 28th July at The Christie. There are two sessions 11-11.30 and 12.00-12.30. If you can come to one or both of the sessions that would be great. We would be playing in Oak Road reception area. If you can attend this gig either let us know on Thursday evening or by email so we have an idea of numbers.
We also have gigs on Sunday 19th August at South West Manchester Cricket Club Ellesmere Road Chorlton and on Sunday 2nd September at St Ninians Church Hall Wilbraham Road Chorlton. So there's plenty going on.

Sarah Maisel and Craig Chee are in concert and workshop at Biddulph Town Hall on Saturday 21st July from 6.30pm. The price is £15 and this incudes two workshops 6.30pm Sarah's workshop Doo Wop till you drop for all levels and 7.30pm Boot Camp a ton of exercises that will help quicken and strengthen your fingers, a fun workshop for all levels. This will be a great event, they are brilliant players and well worth going to see.
For those wishing to expand their musical skills into writing songs there is a free eight week online course. Details can be obtained from https://www.futurelearn.com/co urses/songwriting
It will be good to see you on Thursday at The Lloyd after our break for England's World Cup game. We will be meeting on the following Thursdays in July from 7.30pm to 9.30pm : 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th.
