Summer is now upon us and so is the football world cup. We have decided to cancel the CHUG session on 28th June as England will be playing Belgium and the pub will be very busy. Also some of group will want to watch the football.
We will be meeting at the Lloyds on the following Thursdays in June 7th, 14th and 21st (not the 28th) from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
The new Big Songbook is now in place and we have been going through the new songs which may not be familiar yet to everyone and tweaking them here and there. Thank you for your patience and support. We think that having just one songbook is a big improvement.
We are going to compile a playlist for our gig on Sunday 2nd Sept at 4.10pm for Chorlton Good Neighbours afternoon tea. If there are any songs you think should be considered out of our songbook for the playlist let us know.
A few of our group went to the Grand Northern Ukulele Festival last month and saw Eli and Dawn in their band Grab it and Bang and that they were fantastic.

Biddulph will be having their Ukulele Extravaganza on 23rd June at Biddulph Town Hall. Details are on the Biddulph Ukulele Group web page.
Hoylake on the Wirral is having a Summer Strum on 6th to 8th July.This festival is in its fourth year and is a family orientated community music festival.
