We hope everyone had a good Easter.
Instead of sending weekly emails we are going to send one out at the beginning of the month. If and when anything crops up in between time that the group members need to know, we will send out an extra email to keep everyone informed.
We will be meeting as usual at Lloyds from 7:30pm on the following dates in April: Thursday 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th.
The Lloyds has a new Manager called Sam Foster who is very friendly
and came over to say "hello" on Thursday. We wish Sam well in his new
job.
Group ukulele classes start again at The Edge on Wednesday 18th April.
For anyone who is interested, UKE magazine are running a Spring Song Contest. To enter you need to write a Spring themed song or record a cover version. Full details on how to enter are on the UKE magazine blog at worldofukes.co.uk blog.
Up coming gigs
The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain are in concert on Sunday 22nd July at 6:30pm at Gawsworth Hall, Macclesfield, in the garden theatre which is fully covered, yet outdoor theatre. If you haven't seen them, The Orchestra are a real treat not only to ukulele enthusiasts; they are great musicians and highly entertaining. This is their only North-West date this summer.
